Built on faith, family, and a pressure washer.

Kurt, founder of Awa Wash, pressure washing a driveway

"I just want to do honest work for good people."

Awa Wash started the way most good things do — with a bloke, a trailer, and a determination to do things properly. Kurt grew up on the Kapiti Coast, where the salt air hits everything and the houses need a good scrub more often than most. He saw an industry full of no-shows, half-jobs, and people who didn't care. So he picked up a pressure washer and decided to be different.

A proud husband and father, Kurt brings the same care to every job that he brings to his family. His faith grounds everything he does — show up when you say you will, treat people's homes like your own, leave the place better than you found it. No shortcuts. No excuses. Just hard work done with integrity.

What We Stand For

Three things guide every job we take on.

Faith First

Kurt's Christian faith isn't just personal — it's the backbone of how Awa Wash operates. Honesty, humility, and treating every person with dignity. That's not a marketing line. That's how we live.

🏠

Your Home, Our Pride

We treat every property like it's our own. Whether it's a weatherboard villa or a brand new build, we show up on time, protect your garden, and don't leave until the job's done right.

🌿

Kiwi to the Core

Born and raised in Aotearoa. We use eco-friendly products, support local suppliers, and genuinely care about leaving our corner of New Zealand cleaner than we found it.

From the Kapiti Coast to your doorstep

Growing up on the Kapiti Coast gave Kurt an appreciation for the outdoors that's never left. The hills, the coastline, the bush — it's all part of why he does what he does. Keeping homes clean isn't just a job, it's about preserving the places where families make their memories.

"When I finish a job and the homeowner comes outside and just goes 'wow' — that's it. That's the whole reason I do this."

What started as a one-man operation with a pressure washer and a ute has grown into a trusted Wellington-area service that homeowners recommend to their neighbours. But the core hasn't changed — Kurt still personally oversees every job, still answers the phone, and still believes a handshake means something.
